FLORENCE

July 18, 2016 - July 20, 2016

We got in much later than we expected and still had about an hour and a half drive ahead of us. Allie's friend was letting us stay in her home up in the hills of the Tuscany region. Lucky for us, she had a helper, Guido, meet us to guide us to the house, which was up a lengthy narrow dirt road, which we would have never found on our own.

The next morning we drove down to Florence and spent the day walking around and exploring. As to be expected, all the touristy things like the Statue of David were extremely crowded so we decided to take a long lunch break at a restaurant in a crowded square to people watch and play Hearts.

After, Jonathan and I cruised the narrow streets in search of street art and found some pretty cool stuff, mostly by the same artist.

After spending one more night in Tuscany, we headed north to the infamous, Cinque Terre.
