We rolled into the campsite in Interlaken a few minutes after closing, but luckily, they waited for us. We were able to choose a good campsite, settle in and eat a delicious meal at the campground restaurant. Everybody loves a good schnitzel!
It would seem that the mountains didn't want to cooperate much with us this trip because it rained all night and was still drizzling when we woke up. The train up to Schynige Platte was our best option since the clouds would be covering everything higher up in the Jungfrau. We decided to stroll around the Alpen Garten and check out the alpine flowers to see if the weather would turn in our favor. To our luck, it cleared up and we ended up going on a short hike and had some incredible views of the area.
The pictures really do all the talking...but WOW. This was an awesome way to close out our 2 week road trip with Jason and Allie. Mother nature is something else, am I right?
We made our way back to Amsterdam and spent our last day together binge-watching Stranger Things. :) We definitely jam-packed a lot in 2 weeks but we got to see so many different things in a small amount of time and better yet, spend some good quality time with great friends!
